New Heaven & Earth

I have mentioned these terms new heaven and new earth in my previous articles published. But to give you a clear discussions I decided to write this separately. Since we have knowledge of the first heaven and earth creation that composed of invisible terms, now I tell you those are just shadows or figures of things to come. The Bible says;
That passage of Hebrew is telling about the service of Jesus when he was on earth. It says; Jesus was like unto Moses who served the shadow of heavenly things by making a tabernacle for the service of the Lord. Literally, tabernacle is a tent or a building but it also means a habitation for worship. And Moses built a natural tabernacle(made with hands) when he was appointed by God upon receiving the first covenant in mount Sinai. Typically, Jesus also was sent and did establish a spiritual tabernacle (not made with hands). In other words, the work of Moses was just the picture of Jesus' ministry. But something has to be put away when the new one will come. Shall I say that the Old Covenant with the temple/tabernacle must be vanished away when the new one is proclaimed. For neither an old bottle be filled with new wine nor an old wine is poured in the old bottle as Jesus said in parable;
And boldly he spoke the whole thing into his body as the new tabernacle/temple that will raise(build) up in three days. Here Jesus has pointed the buildings of the temple literally but spiritually emphasizing his body as the new temple that will rise soon, a temple that no man can ever destroy even sins.
This event was already prophesied by Isaiah upon revealing the fulfillment of Old Covenant. Again, the New Covenant was figured by the nation Israel the way they made an offering with the priests and Levites. I leave it to you to read the whole chapter of Isaiah 66 but I quoted below the exciting part that shows an order of making a new creation.
That means the first heaven is the first covenant He made with Israel is typical to the coming new one. And after all, these are the heavenly things He created:
A] CREATION:
Old - Established in the Mount of Sinai through Moses
B] BLOOD
Old - sprinkling the blood of animals
C] OFFERING
Old - offering animal sacrifice every year
D] BUILDING
Old - Faulty tabernacle; natural habitation, the building made with hands (The Temple of Israel)
E] HIGH PRIEST
Old - Have an appointed high priests
F] SABBATH DAYS
Old - Observing holidays or sabbath days and offering meat.
Therefore after we heard the fulfillment of His promise we need to submit ourselves to the new and great high priest who dwelt in our hearts. As the apostle Peter exhorts the pioneering Christians to set their mind in the eternal habitation of God through the body of Christ in which also John the prophet saw in a vision of how is it done.
And today we have seen it as we are looking ourselves living in the Body of Christ. For we are the new heaven and new earth that have no sea. Our body becomes the new tabernacle(not made with hands) of God through Christ wherein the river of pure living water will flows.
And Christ priesthood has sprinkled His own blood in the altar of our hearts eternally, thus, everything becomes new. There is no more sacred place or building today for worship but in our body of flesh. And in here everything must be observed spiritually.
At anytime and anyplace God is with us as called by the saints an "Emmanuel "; for even two or three have fellowship in His name, His presence is always be.
Thus after the great events happened in Israel; which is the passing away of Old Covenant, the prophecy of Isaiah was then fulfilled in the manner of merging the Jews and Gentiles as being figured by the wolf and lamb that fed together.
They have entered the spiritual city of Jerusalem with no more distinction of men, no more offering sacrifice, no more atonement, no more passover, no more holidays/sabbath days, no more feast to celebrate, no more ceremonies, and others required by law. And so if those things are shadow of the better one, then we have now the very thing which can be obtained by faith. As I have mentioned above, they are typically made in form but the first is natural and the last is spiritual; by simply believing all those things are fulfilled by Christ and so we don't need to perform. The same elaboration of Paul concerning the body that says; "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual 1 Corinthians 15:46".
In this new world, everyone who is in Christ shall feed together with spiritual knowledge either Jews or Gentiles, bond or free, Americans or Filipinos, and rich or poor. And we become more powerful with compare in ancient times for we did all things spiritually through knowledge. As the apostle Paul says; without knowledge we have no power.
Therefore, it is evident to believe that we are now in the more advanced and powerful world of faith and fulfill all things through minds to conquer the evil work of flesh. So bear in mind that:
- The Old Covenant - is the first heaven
- The New Covenant - is the new heaven
- The building (Tabernacle/Temple made with hands) / Natural Jerusalem - is the first earth
- The body of Christ/ our body as well (Tabernacle/Temple made without hands) / New Jerusalem - is the new earth

I have mentioned these terms new heaven and new earth in my previous articles published. But to give you a clear discussions I decided to write this separately. Since we have knowledge of the first heaven and earth creation that composed of invisible terms, now I tell you those are just shadows or figures of things to come. The Bible says;
- Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
That passage of Hebrew is telling about the service of Jesus when he was on earth. It says; Jesus was like unto Moses who served the shadow of heavenly things by making a tabernacle for the service of the Lord. Literally, tabernacle is a tent or a building but it also means a habitation for worship. For neither an old bottle be filled with new wine nor an old wine is poured in the old bottle as Jesus said in parable;
- Luk 5:37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
And boldly he spoke the whole thing into his body as the new tabernacle/temple that will raise(build) up in three days. Here Jesus has pointed the buildings of the temple literally but spiritually emphasizing his body as the new temple that will rise soon, a temple that no man can ever destroy even sins.
- John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
- Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. 21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
That means the first heaven is the first covenant He made with Israel is typical to the coming new one. And after all, these are the heavenly things He created:
A] CREATION:
Old - Established in the Mount of Sinai through Moses
- Galatians 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
- Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
B] BLOOD
Old - sprinkling the blood of animals
- Exodus 29:16 And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.
- 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
C] OFFERING
Old - offering animal sacrifice every year
- Hebrews 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
- Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
D] BUILDING
Old - Faulty tabernacle; natural habitation, the building made with hands (The Temple of Israel)
- 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
- Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
E] HIGH PRIEST
Old - Have an appointed high priests
- Hebrews 5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
- Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
F] SABBATH DAYS
Old - Observing holidays or sabbath days and offering meat.
- Ezekiel 45:17 And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.
- Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
- Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
- Revelation 22:5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
- 2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
- Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And today we have seen it as we are looking ourselves living in the Body of Christ. For we are the new heaven and new earth that have no sea. Our body becomes the new tabernacle(not made with hands) of God through Christ wherein the river of pure living water will flows.
- John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
And Christ priesthood has sprinkled His own blood in the altar of our hearts eternally, thus, everything becomes new. There is no more sacred place or building today for worship but in our body of flesh. And in here everything must be observed spiritually.
- 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
At anytime and anyplace God is with us as called by the saints an "Emmanuel "; for even two or three have fellowship in His name, His presence is always be.
- Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Thus after the great events happened in Israel; which is the passing away of Old Covenant, the prophecy of Isaiah was then fulfilled in the manner of merging the Jews and Gentiles as being figured by the wolf and lamb that fed together.
- Isa 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
The same elaboration of Paul concerning the body that says; "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual 1 Corinthians 15:46".
- 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
- 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
- 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
- Philippians 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
- Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Therefore, it is evident to believe that we are now in the more advanced and powerful world of faith and fulfill all things through minds to conquer the evil work of flesh. So bear in mind that:
- The Old Covenant - is the first heaven
- The New Covenant - is the new heaven
- The building (Tabernacle/Temple made with hands) / Natural Jerusalem - is the first earth
