Why We Should Study The Scriptures?

God has said; Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book, Jer 30:2.
Questions:
1. To whom his words will be given?
2. Why God wanted his words to be written in a book?
As I diligently searched the scriptures, I found out that from the beginning until the end of this book (Genesis to Revelation) God’s concern is in his chosen people.
In the Old Testament he has the nation Israel (Jews) as his beloved sons, and treated them in the manner of a father.
He did chastise when they disobey the commandments,
Educate,
Give earthly possession,
And save the lost
These are the reasons why God was addressing the Old Testament to the nation Israel alone.
But in the New Testament, something is new in here because God now has grafted another sort of people into his house.
The other sheep he mentioned here are none Jewish people or alien of the nation Israel that he had chose also to be partakers in his kingdom. They call it Gentile people; like Greeks, Romans, and Asians.
They were the sheep that Jesus says; “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice”.
He did choose them also,
Educate,
Give them heavenly possession,
And save from the coming destruction of Israel; the passing away of the Old Covenant, the destruction of the old temple.
And give them a new one, the building not made with hands which dwells in the inner man of a person.
That is why today, we the generation of the chosen people hear his voice written in the Book because we are his people too and we knew him. We are now the eternal temples of God, the kingdom is in us and we are with him always and forever. As you have noticed the words of the Lord flowed from us like a river as Jesus says before he died;
Thus, God is in control of all his people today. Nobody could say and judge that you must do or must believe his words for the spirit of the chosen man is from the heaven given from God and will know him.
So, bear in mind that all things was written prior to the saints in first century and was fulfilled at their own time by Christ the Almighty God, like what the apostle Paul said; “So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 2 Corinthians 4:12”
Spiritually speaking we are now;
No more pressures
No more worries
No more sacrifices
No more division
No more distinction
But
Have peace and life, if you have understanding in scriptures.
So be happy when you believe Jesus for God has chosen you in his Kingdom regardless of what group you are today for the kingdom of God has many mansions.
Good luck!!!

In the Old Testament he has the nation Israel (Jews) as his beloved sons, and treated them in the manner of a father.
He did chastise when they disobey the commandments,
- Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
Educate,
- Exodus 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
Give earthly possession,
- Genesis 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
And save the lost
- Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
These are the reasons why God was addressing the Old Testament to the nation Israel alone.
- Jer 30:4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
But in the New Testament, something is new in here because God now has grafted another sort of people into his house.
- Joh 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
The other sheep he mentioned here are none Jewish people or alien of the nation Israel that he had chose also to be partakers in his kingdom. They call it Gentile people; like Greeks, Romans, and Asians.
- Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
They were the sheep that Jesus says; “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice”.
He did choose them also,
- Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
- 1Th 1:4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: 7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Educate,
- Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Give them heavenly possession,
- Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
And save from the coming destruction of Israel; the passing away of the Old Covenant, the destruction of the old temple.
- 1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
And give them a new one, the building not made with hands which dwells in the inner man of a person.
- Mar 14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
- 1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
That is why today, we the generation of the chosen people hear his voice written in the Book because we are his people too and we knew him. We are now the eternal temples of God, the kingdom is in us and we are with him always and forever. As you have noticed the words of the Lord flowed from us like a river as Jesus says before he died;
- Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Thus, God is in control of all his people today. Nobody could say and judge that you must do or must believe his words for the spirit of the chosen man is from the heaven given from God and will know him.
- Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
So, bear in mind that all things was written prior to the saints in first century and was fulfilled at their own time by Christ the Almighty God, like what the apostle Paul said; “So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 2 Corinthians 4:12”
Spiritually speaking we are now;
No more pressures
No more worries
No more sacrifices
No more division
No more distinction
But
Have peace and life, if you have understanding in scriptures.
- 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
So be happy when you believe Jesus for God has chosen you in his Kingdom regardless of what group you are today for the kingdom of God has many mansions.
Good luck!!!
