These are the remaining questions of Jesus Identity, since we have already discussed eight topics about him.
9. His language?
10. His Attitude?
11. His Purpose?
12. Did he get married?
13. Who were his friends?
His Language:
Jesus is the son of Mary in lineage of Nathan the son of King David and his father Joseph in lineage of King Solomon the son of David as well. They are Jewish royal blood and speak in Hebrew tongue. Historically, in time of his birth, the nation of Israel is under the government of Roman Empire ruled by Augustus Caesar. From here we can believe that Jesus had a little knowledge in Latin that he used to communicate the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate during his trial. Also, in the North area of Israel where Jesus was born, the mother language there is Aramaic - it is a little similar with Arabic. So it is possible that Jesus spoke Aramaic dialect most of the time. Another language also he can speak is Greek, we can see this through his apostles writings in the New Testament book, it is written in Greek and probably, Jesus could speak this language too.
Here we have the basic background of Jesus that he can speak:
1. Latin
2. Aramaic
3. Hebrew (main language)
4. Greek
His Attitude:
Perhaps most of us think that Jesus is a very approachable person anytime we ask. But when we try to observe him in the written gospels of the apostles, we can see that he is a strict teacher of his disciples. He will only allow any request if it is lawful to his task like the request of his one disciple who beg Jesus to allow him bury his father’s dead body first before following Jesus in going abroad saying; “Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father, Matt 8:21”. But Jesus replied; “Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead, Matt 8:22”. In other words Jesus is not emotional like us but a jealous man concerning truth. In terms of fashion, he is so humble down to earth. Even he is the Son of God and powerful, he humbled himself and living in a fashion of man and die. More than that, he was born in a manger with a poor family.
So his attitudes are quite simple:
1. Strict and jealous man in terms of truth
2. And very humble in terms of fashion
His Purpose:
There is only one purpose that Jesus sent; to save the lost. And they were the lost people in the house of Israel. When we say House of Israel, it covered only to Jesus lineage which is the generations of Jacob and the other families that with them because they were prophesied by many prophets in old times to be judge in the last day. And anyone that found guilty will be punished to death in flaming fire and brimstone. Israel was predicted to be demolished in that day because of their disobedience to God. So Christ came to save those who can experience this terrible destruction of their kind like what happened in the city of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Did He Get Married?
Some of us believe that Jesus’ girlfriend was Mary Magdalene because she was mentioned several times that always in the side of Jesus wherever he goes. And they concluded that the marriage in Cana was Jesus’ marriage. I think these are just considered as an illusion and are baseless conclusion. Yes, Mary Magdalene accompanied Jesus until his burial but we can’t say therefore that Jesus slept with her at night. And also, the marriage in Cana Galilee was only an invitation that Jesus and his disciples were there.
If we believe that Jesus is not a hypocrite teaching to his disciples, then I believe that Jesus was still unmarried until he died. His apostle Paul was teaching;
Base from this passage, can we believe Jesus did choose a married life and cared the things of the world how he may please his wife? I think not for even a permanent house to live he don’t have.
Who Are His Friends?
When we talk about friends, a person could have many friends but there are friends that always with. And so Jesus has many friends like his thousands disciples can be considered as friends and them who refuse his teaching are enemies. But during in his earthly ministry, after three years he ordained twelve of them to be his great disciples. Here we see that this kind of favoritism is not for friendship but for a certain purpose that has already planted because even Judas Iscariot was one of them as he knew he will betray him someday. Therefore, we can only consider friends if those people trusted and believed in him as he said;
It means, Jesus died for his friends who believe in him.

- Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
So his attitudes are quite simple:
1. Strict and jealous man in terms of truth
2. And very humble in terms of fashion
His Purpose:
There is only one purpose that Jesus sent; to save the lost. And they were the lost people in the house of Israel. - Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
- Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
- “Joh 2:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage”.
If we believe that Jesus is not a hypocrite teaching to his disciples, then I believe that Jesus was still unmarried until he died. His apostle Paul was teaching;
- 1Co 7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
Base from this passage, can we believe Jesus did choose a married life and cared the things of the world how he may please his wife? I think not for even a permanent house to live he don’t have.
- Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Therefore, we can only consider friends if those people trusted and believed in him as he said;
- “John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.
It means, Jesus died for his friends who believe in him.
