"REVEALING THE ERRORS OF UNDERSTANDING LAW"
Another errors of man's faith is about the fulfillment of the Law. In this situation there are two groups of people who believe that Christ has fulfilled or did fulfill the law of Moses until he died on the cross. Shall I say; in group "A" accordingly, they believed that Christ completely fulfilled the whole law of Moses during his earthly ministry and this is the reason why they should not observe again that said law, as it was already done for our sake. And in the other group also in group "B" as I call it, they thought that Christ obey the ten commandments of Mosaic law and it is their evidence that the law of Moses is still in effect to Christianity until today. Though these two sets of belief are quite opposite in each assumption, but they have the same reference of verse to which their interpretations stand; that Jesus did fulfill the ten commandments by citing this passage of Matthew:
Question:
"Do you also believe that the "LAW" mentioned in that passage is the ten commandments of Moses with its ordinances?"
What if you are wrong to that interpration, will you change your mind?
Now read this:
1. First, we need to know that Christ is a righteous, perfect, and cannot sin. Whereas the Law of Moses was made only for the unrighteous man, therefore he is not bound to fulfill the whole law of Moses.
2. The Law of Moses includes the law of Sabbath but Christ is the Lord also of Sabbath. Therefore he is not under the law of Sabbath because he is a Lord.
I tell you, the "law" and the "prophets" that written in the gospel of Matthew 5:17 is not the whole law of Moses. It was the prophecy concerning Christ that written in the law of Moses which prophesied also by many prophets and even in the psalms.
The problem with some scholars is they wrongly interpreted the phrase that Jesus says; "that I am come to destroy the law". They thought that the "LAW" here was the whole law of Moses that must be fulfilled. I think they have missed the key found in the account of Luke instead that says; "that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.". This passage emphasizes about the law and the prophets he mentioned in Matthew 5:17, that Moses had wrote in his law about Christ which will come in the future and establish a law like unto him and that his people must obey all things in him.
And that was the writings of Moses that Jesus must not destroy but to fulfill. In fact that prophecy concerning him was also prophesied by many prophets and in the book of Psalms in which Jesus denied to destroy it when he says; "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets". You see? It's a fatal error to interpret a term into our own understanding instead of studying it very well. And by this cause millions were perished of following a wrong doctrine.
Now, if you are not convinced that Jesus did not fulfill the whole law of Moses but rather the written law about him, then you must learn also these few facts below of how did Jesus broke the law of Moses in order to show us the real law. And citing the fourth law of the ten commandments, the Sabbath day it says;
1. But because Jesus need to fulfill the will of the Father which is to establish a new law, he therefore introduce unto them how good is this new law than of the law of Moses by healing sickness even on the Sabbath day.
Here we found out that Jesus did not fulfill the ten commandments for us but he rather fulfill the commandments of the Father concerning him that he may change the old covenant/old law into a better and a perfect one. Again, it is because the law of Moses is faulty, in fact it was already decayed and ready to vanish away 2000 years ago according to the Hebrew writer.
So why many of us are still cultivating the said decayed law until today, are you discontented of the law of Christ in your life?
For your further guidance:
Jesus has come to fulfill the law which the Father gave to him; to be a prophet like unto Moses and to establish a new law, because the old one is faulty.
And this new law which is the law of Christ is a perfect law than the law of Moses.
And for a declaration, people should only obey no other than this new law to make the promise of God in effect. There is no any other law therefore can add or support the law of Christ even the law of Moses as written;
So don't force yourselves to believe that Jesus has fulfilled the law of Moses, and that we must fulfill too? Perhaps, those people who fulfill both laws had made the promise of God in Christ of none effect. For we should only do the law of Christ in this age in order to be accepted as written.

Now read this:
1. First, we need to know that Christ is a righteous, perfect, and cannot sin. Whereas the Law of Moses was made only for the unrighteous man, therefore he is not bound to fulfill the whole law of Moses.
- 1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
- 1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
2. The Law of Moses includes the law of Sabbath but Christ is the Lord also of Sabbath. Therefore he is not under the law of Sabbath because he is a Lord.
- Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
I tell you, the "law" and the "prophets" that written in the gospel of Matthew 5:17 is not the whole law of Moses. It was the prophecy concerning Christ that written in the law of Moses which prophesied also by many prophets and even in the psalms.
- Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
The problem with some scholars is they wrongly interpreted the phrase that Jesus says; "that I am come to destroy the law". They thought that the "LAW" here was the whole law of Moses that must be fulfilled. - Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
And that was the writings of Moses that Jesus must not destroy but to fulfill. In fact that prophecy concerning him was also prophesied by many prophets and in the book of Psalms in which Jesus denied to destroy it when he says; "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets". Now, if you are not convinced that Jesus did not fulfill the whole law of Moses but rather the written law about him, then you must learn also these few facts below of how did Jesus broke the law of Moses in order to show us the real law. And citing the fourth law of the ten commandments, the Sabbath day it says;
- Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
1. But because Jesus need to fulfill the will of the Father which is to establish a new law, he therefore introduce unto them how good is this new law than of the law of Moses by healing sickness even on the Sabbath day.
- Joh 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
- Mat 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
- Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
- Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
So why many of us are still cultivating the said decayed law until today, are you discontented of the law of Christ in your life?
For your further guidance:
Jesus has come to fulfill the law which the Father gave to him; to be a prophet like unto Moses and to establish a new law, because the old one is faulty.
- Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
And this new law which is the law of Christ is a perfect law than the law of Moses.
- Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
And for a declaration, people should only obey no other than this new law to make the promise of God in effect. There is no any other law therefore can add or support the law of Christ even the law of Moses as written;
- Gal 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
So don't force yourselves to believe that Jesus has fulfilled the law of Moses, and that we must fulfill too? Perhaps, those people who fulfill both laws had made the promise of God in Christ of none effect. For we should only do the law of Christ in this age in order to be accepted as written.
- Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
