People In The New Covenant

Regardless of what group you are today, here are some thoughts to read in understanding freedom and peace in the Bible.
The Bible tells that there are two folds of people living on this earth distinctively, one is in bondage and the other is free. The apostle Paul talked about this in Galatia and stressing his audience to believe that they were the children of freedom in contrast to the unbelieving Jews who refuse to believe Christ as the Son of God. Paul then cited a situation written in the old scriptures to emphasize how the children of bondage live saying;
He talks about the relation of the bondwoman’s son with the free one. The scripture says about these two wives of Abraham that the son of the bondwoman (Agar-Abraham’s house maid) could not be heir with the freewoman’s (Sarah-Abraham’s first wife) son. It means that Abraham have sons in his two wives but only the real one must be the heir eternally. Spiritually, Abraham’s story is a figure of God’s people on earth. It represents God’s sons which are living in bondage and the other one in freedom. They were the people who are under the Law of Moses in the Old Covenant, and they who are under the Law of Christ in the New Covenant. As the son of the bondwoman be cast out from Abraham's house and so the free one will live forever with him. Actually, the believers of Christ are the sons of the freewoman here and eternally inherit the kingdom of God through Christ. If you notice, Israel's priesthood with the temple was cast out by war in 70AD year - forty years after Jesus died as the scripture says; "Cast out the bondwoman and her son", It happened in a very long time ago. Wherefore there is no more servant or a bondwoman's son but a chosen heir of God through Christ.
By the way, how to differentiate bondage and freedom in the Bible? Well, the people in the old covenant worshipped God in the tabernacle/temple by;
- offering and sacrifice every year
- observing Sabbath day
- forbidding unclean meats
Take a look today; do you worship God like them? If you did then you were entangled again with the yoke of bondage by fulfilling the Law of Moses since you believe Christ. As far as I know, the New Testament clearly said that we who are the children of God through Christ should not be entangled with the yoke of bandage for Christ had fulfilled all things on the cross to let us free.
He had given himself for us an everlasting offering to God.
And opened the seal of freedom in time and in meat.
But if you wish to do in such and refuse to believe the liberty given, then Christ death is none effect to you.
So why can't you trust all things to him instead of doing it by yourself?
Yes, the old Law is written to be fulfilled but we can't, so Christ did it to set us free.

- Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

- Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
- Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

- Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
He had given himself for us an everlasting offering to God.
- Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
And opened the seal of freedom in time and in meat.
- Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
But if you wish to do in such and refuse to believe the liberty given, then Christ death is none effect to you.
- Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Yes, the old Law is written to be fulfilled but we can't, so Christ did it to set us free.
