When Love Is All Around

In every February 14 of a year, Christians like me are celebrating Valentine’s Day as the day of "Heart". Having this day so special; by dating with love ones in a special place like park, beach, restaurant, and in hotel giving surprises, greetings, and gifts. And the most touching part is the hugs and kisses moment which fulfill the whole day. You know why? It is because of “love “, and without love you can never do this. Simply, those are the fruits of love and that we have loved one another for God is in us and his love is working in us. And this love will eternally exist because God is love.
Some people will say that love can be celebrated inside our mind by even not expressing it to our love ones. I tell you, in this belief I can say that it could be BUT as a freeman in our country we can do things more than that. And here is my explanation; in the Bible, people that lived in first century are became slave of wars. They always hiding everywhere and have no freedom in love. They were controlled by an order and suffered all the days of their lives. In fact, I have observed the situation like this here in Saudi Arabia. The Arab country law is similar to the Jewish government since the beginning of their existence because they are neighboring country in the Middle East. And people here are thirsty of freedom and hiding themselves to everyone especially their women because of the law.
Now, why I am telling you this, because, I want you to know the difference between full freedom and partial freedom. In first century, the apostles of Christ were convincing their countrymen that the freedom of the law is now given through Christ. It means they don’t have to sacrifice all things just to fulfill the law, for Christ had fulfilled it on the cross. But their government is still in bondage of the law because of unbelief, and the result was they the Christians can only celebrate and enjoy the freedom in their hearts by faith because if they will show it visibly/emotionally to the public or letting themselves to be free in the sight of men they will be put to death. In other words, they were spiritually free because of the knowledge but physically slave because of their government at the same time, as the verse says;
Now, you can compare yourself to them and let me ask you; are you spiritually free but physically slave today? If so then who told you to limit the things on earth to enjoy? I’m sure you are not, perhaps you are only physically in bondage of your own mind and traditions, you are pretending to be in bondage even free because of misunderstanding the Bible. When the apostle Paul says; “So then death worketh in us, but life in you, 2 Corinthians 4:12”, It is about their situation with the government of Israel that they suffered and died because of love but to those who live after them will not experience this madness anymore and life with liberty will be their new world. And he added; that God “had given us richly all things to enjoy, Tim 6:17”; thus, if you are living today with full freedom both in spiritual and physical situation, so stop deceiving yourself, live the life of Christ with peace in all things and enjoy there even in our country Philippines. Be thankful if you have those rights, for I don’t have it here in Saudi. What I mean to say is, I am spiritually free but physically slaved of the Saudi law unlike you.
So do all things with love and cherish every moment with your love ones, for without love we are nothing!
Whatever the day is, Valentine is just a remembering of freedom in love. The history tells that;
St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. The most popular martyrology associated with Saint Valentine was that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire; during his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote "from your Valentine" as a farewell to her.
Our Christian Brother Valentine have died a long time ago but the love of God he has is forever with us. Therefore, love your family, relatives, friends and even enemies. Show to them what you've got, and never hesitate. Because the Bible says;
Happy heart's day to all.....

- 1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
