Is Our Body Holy?

Commonly in this new generation, people will always do read a book without knowing its source and thinking that what is written is what it says. That is why many of us today cannot understand the poetic words of the ancient writers resulting to a great error of interpretation. Just like what I had experienced talking with some of my friends they say that the “BODIES” mentioned in the epistle of Paul as quoted above is “flesh and blood”, a human body.
In this sense, the flesh body of people in Rome should be offered / sacrificed unto God holy. It should be a living sacrifice and acceptable unto God, but how could it be possible if Paul says:
You see? Our thoughts in this generation will not only contradict what is written but will also twist the context.
Here is my study concerning this thing. And please read this.
“PRESENT YOUR BODIES”
- A living sacrifice
- Holy
- Acceptable unto God
This term “bodies “means A HUMAN BODY OF FLESH WITH BLOOD AND BONES when we use secular or literal meaning. But In this chapter alone at verse four it says;
Here the “bodies” have many members and it is presented as each body is a member to one another. Paul meant that in one body there are many members and each members have different function like eyes, ears, hands and feet but is not a literal parts or a natural flesh body as it says. The context here is in the church of Christ there are many members in which each believers have different functions.
whether prophecy, let us prophesy
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering
he that teacheth, on teaching
he that exhorteth, on exhortation
he that giveth, let him do it with simplicityhe that ruleth, with diligence
he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness
Thus when it says our bodies should be holy and acceptable to God, it talks about the offices or functions in the Church of Christ. Whether your office is in prophesying, ministering, and in teaching, each of this is a member to one another. And to make the office/function holy and acceptable to God it should be in accordance to the proportion of faith by renewing of mind.
And how does this mind work? very simple, Just to think soberly in the measure of faith.
As follows:
- prophecy, let us prophesy
- ministry, let us wait on our ministering:
- he that teacheth, on teaching;
- he that exhorteth, on exhortation:
- he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity;
- he that ruleth, with diligence;
- he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
- Let love be without dissimulation.
- Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
- Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
- Rejoicing in hope;
- patient in tribulation;
- continuing instant in prayer;
- Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
- Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
- Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Conclusion:
Therefore; it is not the body of flesh that becomes holy and acceptable unto God, it is the office/function and mind of every believers that should do the perfect will of God as member in the Church of Christ. For the flesh will always be a flesh, corrupt and lust against the Spirit.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

- Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your “bodies” a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

- Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

- Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

- Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
