They That Pierced Jesus

The finest way of understanding scriptures is by comparing scriptures.
Concerning the passage above, by using this method of interpretation here are the results:
“Clouds” = JUDGMENT
“Every eye shall see him” = EVERY FAMILY IN JUDAH AND JERUSALEM
“And they also which pierced him” = THE SOLDIERS
“All kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him” = ALL THE FAMILIES, EVERY FAMILY APART, AND THEIR WIVES – IN JERUSALEM
“Pierced” = PIERCED HIS SIDE AND HIS HANDS & FEET
"Earth" = The land of Israel
Now we know that all of these passages are viewing together the events of crucifixion and vengeance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus before Revelation 1:7 took place, the "pouring" and "piercing" that prophesied in Zechariah must be fulfilled first and so the men involved in this scene must see the one that bring vengeance in the future whom they had pierced.
As the phrase “they shall look upon me” is referring to the people who pierced Jesus. Who are they and when these things shall be fulfilled?
John said;
And in Psalms
In comparative view:

- Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
The finest way of understanding scriptures is by comparing scriptures.
Concerning the passage above, by using this method of interpretation here are the results:
“Clouds” = JUDGMENT
- Jer 4:13 Behold, he shall come up “AS CLOUDS”, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
- Zep 1:15 That day is [A DAY OF WRATH], a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, “A DAY OF CLOUDS” and thick darkness,
“Every eye shall see him” = EVERY FAMILY IN JUDAH AND JERUSALEM
- Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against “JUDAH” and against “JERUSALEM”.
“And they also which pierced him” = THE SOLDIERS
- Joh 19:32 Then came “THE SOLDIERS”, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
“All kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him” = ALL THE FAMILIES, EVERY FAMILY APART, AND THEIR WIVES – IN JERUSALEM
- Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a GREAT MOURNING IN JERUSALEM, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; 13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; 14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
“Pierced” = PIERCED HIS SIDE AND HIS HANDS & FEET
- Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear “PIERCED HIS SIDE”, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
- Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me:
"Earth" = The land of Israel
- Zec 12:12 And the LAND shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
- Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning IN JERUSALEM, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
- Zec 12:10 And I will ”POUR” upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the“SPIRIT OF GRACE and OF SUPPLICATIONS”: and “THEY SHALL LOOK UPON ME” whom they have “PIERCED”, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
As the phrase “they shall look upon me” is referring to the people who pierced Jesus. Who are they and when these things shall be fulfilled?
John said;
- Joh 19:32 Then came the “SOLDIERS”, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
And in Psalms
- Psa 22:16 For“DOGS” have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me:
In comparative view:
1. They shall look upon me, Zec 12:10
2. I will pour, Zec 12:10 3. Pierced Zec 12:10 |
1. Then came the soldiers, But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, John 19:32-33
2. And forthwith came there out blood and water John 19:33 3. Pierced his side, John 19:32, Pierced my hands and my feet, Psa 22:16 4. Blood and water, John 19:33 |
Therefore the piercing of Jesus fulfilled by Roman armies and that moment they saw the pouring of grace and supplications as figured by blood and water flowed from Jesus' side. With the same characters written in Revelation 1:7 "and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him", these soldiers also shall see the coming of Christ in the last day whom they had pierced.
