The Dragon In The Bible

To those who read the scriptures very well I know you have noticed something the same with me that most of the terms the writers used are prophetically expressed. If we say prophetic word, this refers to God’s hidden word received and written by an inspired man. This was made and given by God to the intent that he may hide his purpose from man, the devil who always holds his plan to be fulfilled.
In the Old Testament prophecy, we can see how this wisely revealed and fulfilled unto them who were dreaming dreams in the very ancient times. Like the story of Joseph the dreamer – the son of Jacob. When Joseph dreamed dreams, he just received message from God in the form of an earthly things. These things were visible sheaf image in his eye during that
night.
The context here is that Joseph saw a literal sheaf but the message was not about the sheaf, it was about Joseph’s future as being interpreted by his brethren.
Another dream of Joseph written:
The interpretation says:
Here also Joseph saw a sun and a moon and stars. In this dream, the creatures were the same image in reality. Its basic meaning or a literal description was a picture of a real sun, moon, and stars. But again, spiritually that passage talked about the future of Joseph and not the future of the planets.
In the New Testament prophecy, the same with Joseph, John saw a literal dragon that would come in the future. He saw a thing/creature in his vision and being described like a dragon. John here at his vision saw a dragon as he saw in real life. Yes, the same with Joseph he saw a literal/earthly/biological creature in his dream. He didn’t see a man or a person but a dragon which being defined was a reptile existence. But the passage itself interpreted of what it means. As he said;
He said that the reptile/dragon in his dream meant the old serpent that was written in Genesis, the devil, and Satan. God is not trying to convince people that there must be a literal dragon that shall come in the latter days that could kill people by the fire from his mouth but he said that the old serpent/the Devil/ Satan would be bound. So literally, the dragon was a reptile but in biblical/spiritual context – it was the devil and Satan. Job was right in his thoughts that God was hiding his plan from him (foolish/fleshly minded man) who could not understand his words.
Thus if we have to interpret prophetic word, two things must be rightly divided - the literal and spiritual approach.
Conclusion:
God is so wise than man; he has a code that a man could not directly see his plan. It is only made known unto the men whom he trusted to fulfill it and for the rest of them he just said; He that hath ears to hear, let him hear Matthew 11:15

- Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
To those who read the scriptures very well I know you have noticed something the same with me that most of the terms the writers used are prophetically expressed. If we say prophetic word, this refers to God’s hidden word received and written by an inspired man. - 1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
- Job 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

- And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. Genesis 37:5-7
The context here is that Joseph saw a literal sheaf but the message was not about the sheaf, it was about Joseph’s future as being interpreted by his brethren.
- And his brethren said to him,Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. Gen 37:8
Another dream of Joseph written:
- And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.Gen 37:9
The interpretation says:
- And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? Gen 37:10
